South Somerset Blinds and Shutters Ltd is a family-run, made-to-measure window dressing business based at Houndstone Business Park in Yeovil. Every job is personally handled by Kieran — qualified carpenter, owner and fitter.
Our story
Built on a simple idea — do it properly, and do it yourself.
South Somerset Blinds & Shutters started with a frustration most local homeowners share: too many companies sending different people for the measure, the manufacture and the fit, with quality and care slipping between them.
We do things differently. As a fully qualified carpenter, Kieran handles every stage himself — from the first home visit and measure, through to manufacture in our own workshop, to the final installation. One person, one standard, one point of contact.
We're proud to be based in Yeovil, serving customers across Somerset, West Dorset and a 30-mile radius from our showroom. From cottages in Sherborne to new builds in Yeovil and seaside homes in Bridport — our blinds and shutters now dress windows all across the region.

Our workshop

Our Unit 17 workshop is where the magic happens — rolls of designer fabric, precision-cut tubes and benches stacked with works-in-progress. We've recently invested in bringing roller and vertical blind manufacturing fully in-house, which gives us total control over quality and timing.
You're warmly welcome to come and see fabrics in person — visits are by appointment so we can give you our full attention.
